The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund 2011

The Motcomb Street Party 2011 is supporting the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund.

Aim of the fund

The Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund (HCOCF) aims to help provide financial support
to injured soldiers and their families, including those who have lost their lives on active service.

Why was the Fund launched?

Following the experiences of D Squadron HCR in Afghanistan in 2006, the Operational Casualties Fund
was created by Major Will Bartle-Jones RHG/D, aimed at helping to provide financial support to injured
soldiers and their families, inclusive of those who have lost their lives on active service.

What are proceeds used for?

The fund will provide support to the families and dependants of those killed in action by responding
promptly to problems of bereavement and hardship. It also supports those wounded on operations,
particularly those who will have future requirements for assistance. Finally, to provide support for
the families and dependants of those seriously wounded or injured in prolonged recovery situations.

Everyone who has ever attended a Motcomb Street Party will know that we have a brilliant time!
It’s a fabulous party but we are very serious about raising the monies we do for our chosen charities.
None of this could ever happen without the fantastic support from all our generous sponsors.
